So ran into the same issue's as well. LG 32LC5DC Had the dorky 'oncommand' remote so no help there as no buttons for changing input/menu etc. Went to walmart bought a 7$ universal and programmed it in. Just pulling the cable did not work on the oncommand box. Side inputs for menu input etc were disabled. Go search on this you find LG's 'Commercial Mode Setup Guide' which is a detail book on how to program these things. You basically hit the Menu key multiple times until it stops showing the onscreen menu.
Then hit 98765 and then Enter (Was'Ok' on my generic universal remote' It then wanted a pin to which you put in 9876 and push Enter/Ok (FYI the 0000 on the screen does not change when you are inputting this) After this you will be in programmer mode. Yes as another posted you could just factory reset the TV and heck with it however I somewhat agree with the installer guy in that I don't want the TV all boffed up for the next user etc I just want inputs working. Now I'm not sure I did this right but these are the values I ended up changing 040 AUTO CAMPORT set to 0 to disable auto switching to video 2? 046 STRT AUX SRCE set to 1? I also made sure the following were set to 1 to enable the ports on the back 038 YPrPb EN. 001 (HDMI 2) 035 COMPPORT EN.
001 (HDMI 1) 011 Key Defeat t to 000 to allow buttons on tv to work. I ended here after googling 'enable input button on lg tv' while staying here on a hotel in Spain, the room has a LG 32LH301C TV. The input and menu buttons were disabled on both the remote and the TV itself, no box or anything else connected to the TV. By holding down the 'Menu' button for 5 secs until the channel information menu popped up in the upper left corner, typing 1105 and pressing OK, I got into a menu which offered me to turn of the Hotel Mode, Input and menu functions now working fine. Hi, I just came up against an LG 26LH200H in the Express by Holiday Inn in London.
It has a small black box on the back that has 2 connections to the TV. It has a brain-damaged hotel remote and all the buttons on the outside, except the volume, are disabled. The 'hack' for it turned out to be even simpler than I expected: Pressing 0 on the remote (not sure if you have to be in TV mode first) selects the composite input, press 0 again and you get the next input and so on until you get round to the HDMI input. First time I tried it I got 'Connecting' then the 'No signal' problem. I powered the HDMI device off then back on and I got a picture.
Looks like it doesn't work unless you have the input selected before you turn the source on. Cheers, Paul. Thanks to Papfox - for this massive time saver. This works for acentic system found in some London hotels - with LG tv. Hardware: Remote branded 'acentic'; Black box (attached to tv) input: arial coax outputs: coax + (female) rgb Solution: 0 button on remote cycles through additional inputs.

I understand where you're coming from. However, some of us would like to have access to these inputs (especially if we're staying at the hotel for more than a week). If I bring my phone/console which contains movies/games that.I own., and an HDMI cable, it's not really fair that I can't use that stuff in my room.
And as a side note, if the policy of the hotel is to not let us use these inputs, why have it look like you can? I realize this is a very old post, but I just found it the other day, so hopefully someone else will find this in the future like I did. I've read through every post in this thread and, if I'm not mistaken, there isn't a single solution that allows you to use your own device (laptop, tablet, gaming console, etc) AND the hotel's TV service. With that being said, you guys are WAY overthinking this problem. There's a much easier solution that doesn't require a 'hack', mod, special remote, contacting the front desk, secret codes, etc, and it applies to all TV models, not just LG. The hotel's box on the back of the TV (LodgeNet, OnCommand, etc) is very likely connected to the TV via an HDMI cable on the default input.
So all you need to do is disconnect their HDMI cable and connect the one that is attached to your device. And since you haven't disabled the hotel's system, you can still use the hotel's remote for power, volume control, sleep timer, etc. I've done this at nearly every hotel I've stayed in for the past 6 or 7 years. It doesn't 'mess' anything up, and since you will have to disconnect your device when you're done, you will be a lot more likely to remember to reconnect their box before you leave, thus not creating a problem with the hotel or for the next guests. I hope this helps someone. Hello: I'm trying to connect my xbox to the LG 32LC5DCS, I have removed the lodgenet chip in the back of the tv and accessed the PTC installer menu and followed the commercial user set up guide file:///C:/Users/cerwin/Downloads/42ld340h-commercial-mode-setup-guide.pdf I have tried factory reset. And doing all the things it says to enable HDMI but it still does not work.
I can get but sound from the tv from the xbox but still no picture. Anyone here have any ideas? I know this is an old thread by i came across it from a google search. Any help would be greatly appreciated. So ran into the same issue's as well.

001 (HDMI 2) 035 COMPPORT EN. 001 (HDMI 1) 011 Key Defeat t to 000 to allow buttons on tv to work. Thanks a TON for posting that! I was able to get pull the lodgenet card and access the commercial mode settings to reset the TV to factory settings (after not being able to get results with individual settings in there). Unfortunately, it did not solve the problem.
I still get audio, but no video out of the HDMI 1 input. HDMI 2 gives me nothing. Even brought in a 2nd TV, with same results. Now I'm suspicious that my HDMI cable is bad, but I was just doing this a few days ago at a different hotel.
There HAS to be a way to access these inputs, but I can't find a way around this stupid lodgenet and I'm wondering if they are special orders from the factory with the inputs physically disabled. I'm stuck here for five days with no option to switch hotels! Vreveal premium crack. Hi all, I was in the holiday inn in Edinburgh on business and took my ps4, the tv was locked out and wouldn't let me change to HDMI input so I asked reception and they told me this function isn't available.
The next morning I switched on the tv there own holiday inn page comes on automatically. I pressed 1 then 0 on this page because I thought that's what channel bbc news was on and BOOM. So i pressed 0 again and HDMI came up. Unfortunately this was in the morning and I was due to go to work so I didn't get to play my ps4 but hope this helps you guys out. I actually stopped this morning on the way to work and grabbed some component cables.
I'll try those this evening. Was just curious if anyone had successfully defeated 'hotel mode' and got the HDMI inputs to work. It's also annoying because they clearly set a high volume limit on the TV using hotel mode. Over the RCA audio inputs, I have to crank the volume to max and it's still too low. I'm contemplating buying a 42 inch LCD at Target and returning it when I'm off this trial site in two months. Gotta love their 90 day return policy.;-) I hooked up my girlfriend's laptop to our hotel room HDTV (I think it was a Samsung), and it had a way to defeat their restrictions so you could enter the menu and use another HDMI input and turn off overscan.
I had to google the TV's model number and I found the answer. I, too stumbled across this post as I am staying in a Hilton that seems to have one of the newer setups for end-user lockout mechanisms. I don't have anything helpful to add in terms of circumventon, just some information. First, apologies to the AVS admins, this likely is not the best place to be discussing things like this (I am sure there are less reputable forums out there for 'underground' tactics). Second, I do not condone anyone that is going to really get into a TV and screw it up for the next paying customer (I have been a victim of this before).
I do, however, support customer choice and don't feel that something as simple as an HDMI port hookup should be locked out to force people into doing 'something else' like paying for an on-demand movie to get past the boredom of long hotel stays. Personally, the hotel I am at today will lose my return patronage since I seem to have a fully locked out system. I have stayed here 3 times and this is the first time I brought my PS3 so my wife and a guest could watch some DVDs. Some Googling brought me to a YouTube video showing people how to get into the menu system and setup of a TV (which is fine, so long as you can reset it back to where it was). This doesn't work for LG systems using 'Commerical' or 'FTG' mode as some more Googling informed me. Basically, there is a master remote/laptop with registered software that can access the system menus.
Within the system menu you have ultimate control to change the entire programming of the TV. It is this mode that makes me believe the 'no signal' issue stems from. Meaning, you can select other inputs, but they are simply disabled from passing any signals. This setup does not use any visible connections/boxes mounted to the TV, just a single coax cable. The remote, however, does say 'LodgeNet' which I am no stranger to. LG's Commercial Mode Setup guide (Google it) explains some of the above.
Basically, models ending in 'H' (mine being a 42LD650H). So, nothing helpful other than information for those with these setups.
I would not recommend going deeper into hacking this type of thing, if even possible. As an IT professional, I completely understand server-based policies and such, but as mentioned, this stay will be my last at this hotel. I certainly hope all the Hiltons aren't going this route as I have been a long time customer and don't want to switch chains for when I need to travel. Sadly the front desk people are largely either uninformed/ignorant or misinformed as to questions around auxiliary device usage with their TVs so it's not really possible to plan ahead and avoid these situations.

Cheers, Paul. Paul - I know your posting was written in the deep mists of time, but it has helped me in a Holiday Inn against a LG 37LD322H.
Just disconnected the RS232 from their command box, inserted my HDMI from a MacBook into the HDMI 1/DVI slot and pressed 0 until it rotated through the various AV options (composite, TV, RGB and eventually HDMI). Job done, listening to Amazon Prime music through it as I type.

Apologies for the thread necro, but this is the best thing I've read all day, having found myself at a Holiday Inn for a week with its limited channels and expensive PPV. Hi I registered just to thank Paul for this nifty trick! I am in the Hilton in Cologne for 5 days and was extremely frustrated at not being able to use the HDMI in on the LG 32LD650H. It has a control box on the back with a phone line coming in and an AUX connection and RS232 going to the TV. All the buttons down the side are disabled and the remote is not the original.
I tried all kinds of unplugging the control box, holding in the menu button etc. Eventually found this forum and couldn't believe how simple the fix was!
I must have pressed every button on the remote, but never thought to try the zero key! Many thanks, happy days! I know its an old thread, but it's also one of the top google results when searching how to disable hotel mode on LG TVs, so I apologize for bringing it back from the dead again. Verified on LG TV of unknown model since it's bolted to the wall. At a Double Tree that opened 4 months ago. Found the correct answer for the new LG TV's as long as it is not connected to the network (if it is, you will need to unplug the data cable first) This will turn the TV back into a normal TV.
Many people are saying they cannot change the values in the installer mode, or after changing the ports still don't work. This is because the TV is a 'cloned' TV of a master setting, not allowing you to change any of the settings, including the installer settings, which go back to the set ones. This will give you full port access that works, as well as sound, video settings, all other settings, including installer settings that will no longer be required unless you want to disable the global dimming 'feature' Please use responsibly, you cannot re-engage the cloned settings after you do this.
1) press Menu Settings multiple times until menu stops appearing and disappearing. 2) Enter 9876 then press OK/ENTER 3) using the Dpad up and down arrows, go to 117 FACT DEFAULT 4) Enter 415 and press OK/ENTER 5) Enter password 0415 and press OK/ENTER 6) AFTER the TV turns off, turn it back on. You will need to rescan for channels of course, as you have an out of the box tv Now. There's an issue with LG's everyone knows as GLOBAL DIMMING. Here's how to disable that: ensure 'Commercial Mode'/'Hotel Mode'/'FTG (Free to Guest) Mode' has been disabled as seen above. 1) press Menu Settings multiple times until menu stops appearing and disappearing.
2) Enter 9876 then press OK/ENTER 3) Using the Dpad up and down arrows go to 099 BACK LIGHTING 4) select any setting between 101 and 200 ( if you use the Left and Right Dpad buttons, you can change it slowly and see the backlight change) As long as you leave it between 101 and 200, it will not change on its own anymore, and only change using the video settings. Hey everyone, I'm having a similar problem, and unfortunately none of the methods mentioned upthread have worked for me. My problem is not that the inputs are locked; they're not, and I'm able to use my PS4 just fine. The problem is that the picture is crappy because the contrast isn't adjusted right, and the menu seems to be locked down so that I can't adjust it. I've looked up a few LG manuals, and it seems that when you press Menu, one of the submenus is supposed to be Video. I don't have a Video. I have Aspect Ratio, Caption, Clock, Sleep Timer, Lock, Audio, and Input Source.
There's no Lodgenet or On Command. The only cables running to the TV are the power and the coax coming out of the wall.
The TV even has a reset button on the back, which I pressed, but all that does is turn it off. Neither holding down the Menu key on the remote, nor pressing it repeatedly, has any effect. The model number is 37LC50C-UA. Does anyone have any ideas? quote=klemmi;23489632I ended here after googling 'enable input button on lg tv' while staying here on a hotel in Spain, the room has a LG 32LH301C TV.

Thank you for this. My hotel in Germany has an LG 32 LK330 and this worked. The trick was to note as described here that no 'code box' appears, only the channel info and nothing happens while you type until you press 'ok' and voila! I didn't even disable 'hotel mode', I left it on and enabled the aux inputs. I think I'll leave it for the next customer to enjoy.
Menu Lg Tv
How do I get into this model's service menu? All of the standard ways to get into the LG service menu require pushing the menu button on the TV but the TV doesn't have one, it only has the joystick button on the bottom. I do have an original LG remote to work off of though. I tried the method of holding down the menu button on the remote but the menu never clears, it just stays on. By coincidence, I just happen to have encountered a similar LG model during a hotel stay over the last few days and have successfully enabled the HDMI inputs. Here's what I did:. Obtain the TV’s native remote control.
Our remote control, stopped working entirely, so we called maintenance, who was unable to get it working and left the TV’s native remote control (with working Menu button) with us. You may be able to use another remote control as long as it can emulate the native one.
Unplug the RJ11 cable from the wall. An RJ11 or other cable that looks like a telephone or ethernet cable was plugged into the wall and into the back of the TV. Press and release Menu on the remote until it stops toggling the on-screen menu. The Menu button the native remote brings up a menu. If you press the button again, the menu disappears. If you press the Menu button about ten times in a row, it will stop toggling the on-screen menu.
Press 9-8-7-6-OK on the remote to enter the installer menu. Some configuration text will appear on the screen, including “000 Installer Sequence”, which is the first among many settings you can change. Configure the following settings using the up, down, left, and right buttons on the remote.
Before configuring the settings, make a note of the original settings so you can restore them before you check out of the hotel. Set 035 HDMI ENABLE to 2 Set 091 HDMI2 ENABLE to 2 Set 092 HDMI3 ENABLE to 2 Set 098 PRO:CENTRIC to 0 You need to press and release (not hold down) the Menu button about 10 times to activate the installation menu. Steven, I have a similar situation ( I'm referring to Steven Preskill's post above) as I have a used LG tv which is not longer in a hotel and I am trying to get that tv to just be a tv for me.
I was able to do the menu pressing to get to the installer menu for a while, but last few times it wants a password. I tried the 9876 thing but I am not sure i pressed the enter button. I will try that again tomorrow. I will note that it is not possible to return to the hotel settings for the reason you say, but currently I cannot get it to let me access the menu section where I can scan for new channels. Seems some things still locked out. I do have the factory remote with the menu button etc and teh tv is LG 32LD320H-UA Is there anything else I can try to make it totally a regular tv?
I get the menu to come up which is a block of icons and not the one which means I am not in bypass mode.
I have a LG 32LX2R and have since found how to get to the service menu. I need to know what the options in the service menu do and what some of the other settings do. Does anyone know what the 'bright' setting does, it has 3 prset settings 40%, 63% and 100%, at first I thought it was the backlight setting but it can't be as none of the settings do anything to the brigtness let alone anything else. So if that isn't the back light setting, where is the backlight setting? I also found a setting called panel size, which said 32. I changed it to 42 and all of a sudden my picture improved, ie. It became more vivid, colourful and vibrant.
Why did this happen? What does the panel size setting supposed to do? Please someone help me out. I have posted several posts here about the service menu and the backlight setting of the LG32LX2R. I have accessed the service menu not by giving password.
I have changed the borders colour when the panel is in 4:3 mode from grey to black. I have played with the brightness and gamma settings, but I saw NO difference. I quess brightness=backlight. Brightness level by default was set to 63% in my panel ( and also the other 2 I had the chance to look at at the reseller's shop). I have set the brightness to 40% but I see no change.
I quess to activate these options in the menu, one must enter with password. If someone has seen any difference with differnt settings of brightness or gamma, please report. Click to expand.I am really interested in knowing how to change the border from grey to black - the grey is so wrong and distracting it annoys me.
So how does one access the service menu. Hold the menu button as described above and release when the menu disapears? Is the option to chenage the border colour obvious or is it called something abstract. Finally, how does one exit the service menu and keep the changes - is that obvious too?
I'm not with my Tv right now to check for myself so your advice for when i get home would be much appreciated. One final question, is there a reason that the bordrs are grey and what consequences might there be by changing it to black. After reading about the service menu I inquisitively had a go on my 32LX2R just to have a look, check the FW level etc. A.f.a.i.k., I did not change any settings while in there but now the picture on the analogue channels seems to have screwed up. It now looks like it is not properly tuned into a channel (on all channels) - the image jumps about as well as being predominantly greyscale with lots of noise/vertical bars, etc.
Sound comes through ok. I tried retuning but no success. All other connections (Freeview STB via Tivo on AV1, VCR on AV2, Xbox on AV3 and DVD on HDMI) all work fine. I have tried the aerial lead straight into the set so I know its not one of the other components in the RF loop or scarts which is causing it.
Its not critical as normal viewing is still available thru the STB, but its always nice to know you have the old faithful analogue there when you need it. I'm wondering if there is a way to reset the TV back to the 'just out of the box' settings so I can start afresh. To all still interested in the LG Service Menu. I have obtained a LG ADJUST REMOCON (remote control) that takes you into the service menu without any password (I suspect there is no password). I have also obtained a part 1 Service Manual for my set (26LX2R) that shows how to setup the LCD on each interface. Unfortunately the set requires using an MSPG-925F pattern generator which I dont have.
I have made a note of all the setting on my LCD menu and then experimented with some of the adjustments. The following are what I have found:- Changing Brightness (set at 63% by default) does not appear to have any effect. Changing Gamma (0) does not seem to alter anything either. There is an additional automatic RGB setup menu that needs a pattern and this seems to change the settings depending on what is on the screen. The gain/offset of individual colours can also be set manually. There is an additional automatic white balance setup menu that allows the individual colours gain/offset to be manually changed. The intelligent eye can be switched off.
If anyone can help further with this please contact me via this forum. Regards Mike.

After that, by pushing INFO button on Philips remote, he gets prompt for four digit password code on LG TV, to enter into service mode. After password prompt shows, he then uses original LG remote for entering 0000 and changing options there. I assume, this should work for more recent firmwares too (3.40, 3.47/8.). I hope, this info has some value for LG LH owners. Greetings, Bogdan Please check this code with your any universal remote and try enter in service menu using buttons like GUIDE or INFO.
Then use LG TV original remote and change ONLY parameters described in tutorial. Please write here your results too. Today I've downgraded from 3.40 to 3.15 and I can play from USB but now there is no sound, even when I'm watching regular TV program (IPTV). I can't get sound from USB files either, Now I'm back on 3.40 and problem is still there, in settings I didn't change nothing else only what was needed. I try to use restore function (7x9) but nothing happens, still no sound. I tried connecting headphones and they are working perfect.
In AUDIO menu I have everything enabled and set to highest, what could that be? Can I try with USB deactivation option under USB menu? It is 37LH3000.
I hope you could help me.
Enter service menu/mode on LG TV with your smartphone IR blaster. Enter Password 0413 or 0000. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S4 IR blaster with app AnyMote Universal Remote ( ) Be very careful while playing with these service menus, wrong value could brick your TV. Don't change any of the settings if you don't know what they do. The menu items can be selected with the “CURSOR UP/DOWN” key With the “CURSOR LEFT/RIGHT” keys, it is possible to: - (De) activate the selected menu item. (De) activate the selected sub menu. With the “OK” key, it is possible to activate the selected action.
